WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS:

This is not a receptionist job.
This is a sales and operations role inside a high-speed auto repair shop.

You will:

  • Answer inbound calls and convert them into same-day appointments

  • Control the schedule with urgency (not convenience)

  • Present safety-first repair recommendations

  • Close work quickly and confidently

  • Follow up on declined work (next day, no exceptions)


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • Calls answered by the 3rd ring — every time

  • Every call starts with:
    “Yes, we can take care of that today.”

  • Vehicles checked in and moving within 15 minutes

  • You sell the first safety item fast, not full estimates

  • You keep cars, not send them away

  • You follow up and recover missed sales


HOW YOU GET PAID:

  • 100% performance-based (no base pay)

  • Target: ~18% of total store gross profit (team-based front counter)

  • The more you produce, the more you earn

  • No caps

Translation:
Low performers struggle. High performers win big.


WHAT BEHAVIOR THIS JOB REQUIRES:

  • Speed over perfection

  • Confidence under pressure

  • Ability to ask for the sale — directly


WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO:

  • No diagnosing over the phone

  • No quoting to “shop price shoppers”

  • No waiting around for customers to decide

  • No hiding behind “customer service” language


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Have sales experience (auto is a plus, not required)

  • Move fast and hate sitting around

  • Are comfortable leading conversations

  • Want your income tied to your output

  • Don’t need constant supervision

You are NOT a fit if you:

  • Need hourly security

  • Avoid uncomfortable conversations

  • Like slow-paced environments

  • Struggle with accountability
