Job Description
RMH Systems, one of the largest material handling, packaging, and industrial scale integrators in the Midwest, is currently seeking a well-organized and self-motivated Billing Specialist to support our service operations.
The primary objective for this role is to provide billing, inventory, and admin support to the service department. This role is a combination of customer support, service support, and billing for the service department, and to handle inside sales support and order entry for the scale division. Our service team works hard to make sure our projects are organized and that our service technicians have what they need to be successful. This individual needs to be organized, detail-oriented, positive, responsive to customer needs, and reliable.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Calculates costs for products, services, installation, and delivery/shipment of products.
- Verifies the accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
- Creates itemized bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents, which may require calculation of credit terms, shipping charges, discounts, and costs of products.
- Records amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
- Performs general accounting work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, inventory transactions and rebates, and supporting documents of amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
- Generates billing documents.
- Contacts customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
- Maintain inventory records, receive, manage, and calculate standard costs.
- Distribute internal reports for commissions, open orders, etc.
- Iowa position includes inside sales piece, supporting 3 salesmen with quotes, and customer support as well as billing for scale equipment.
- Maintains a clean work area and follows all safety practices of the organization when completing work assignments.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field or 2 years of Accounting/office experience.
Ability to collaborate with customer, consultants, vendors, and engineers.
Excellent communication, and strong phone skills.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Efficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
**Pay is based on experience. $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year.
