Custer County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Auditor II. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to support a wide range of county operations, including voter registration, election coordination, commissioner support, financial tracking, and general office administration.
The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), starting at $17.77 per hour with county benefits. The position reports to the Finance Officer.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with voter registration and elections
Providing administrative support to County Commissioners
Processing interdepartmental mail, maintaining records, and office support
Helping with payroll, benefits, and other financial functions
Delivering excellent customer service to the public
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
1+ year of clerical or administrative experience; government/elections experience is a plus
Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office
Accuracy in data entry and ability to maintain confidentiality
