NDDOT Starting Salary:
Environmental Specialist III: $7042 per month
Environmental Specialist II: $5896 per month
The purpose of this position is to develop, review, and/or approve environmental documents for NDDOT highway construction projects. The position is also the agency expert for environmental documentation including NEPA, Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act, and Section 6(f) of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act. Provides direct review and analysis for state and national regulations for stated programs.
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Agency Expert.
Project Coordination with Interdisciplinary Teams on Multiple Complex and High-Level Projects.
Management of Programs and Other Environmental Section Responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for an Environmental Specialist III, you must have a bachelor's degree in environmental, natural or physical science or a related field and three year of professional level work experience related to the position.
To be considered for an Environmental Specialist II, you must have a bachelor's degree in environmental, natural or physical science or a related field and one year of professional level work experience related to the position.
At any level, you must have a class D drivers license to travel to public meetings and project locations; lifting up to 20 pounds; carry several items with the total weight of 20 pounds.
Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required reference check.
