Job Description

This position with K&T Irrigation carries a wide variety of responsibilities, with the one responsibility of being a Field Supervisor. The other areas the candidate will excel in is learning the irrigation system, along with wide variety underground pipeline installations and pipeline repairs. The candidate will also teach the assembly and disassembly process of the irrigator, as we assemble new and used units, with on occasion of repairing damaged units to new crewmembers. We also expect the candidate to perform assessment of irrigation system crashes out in the field and on occasion we must do other projects within the grain bin construction department. During the coldest days and inclement weather this individual will also direct and delegate routine maintenance of company equipment. This is a very hands-on job and will require the candidate to be leading by example, actively assembling, installing, and servicing irrigation pipelines and equipment as well as grain bin systems. This candidate will oversee and contribute to the success of K&T Irrigation’s Field Service team, and be dedicated to safety, quality, and efficiency. Irrigation or grain site experience is not necessary. Candidates must be eager to learn, actively seek to master the projects they are assigned to, and encourage the best out of our field teams.

Education & Work Experience:

  • Must possess strong leadership skills
  • Must be Mechanically inclined
  • Experience operating equipment
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • The ability to give instructions, meet expectations, and work outside in a varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to teach new skills and take on new responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (Commercial Driver License preferred)
  • Must be able to work substantial overtime during peak seasons
  • Must be willing to overnight out of town during peak seasons (4 nights a week avg.)
