General Superintendent- Sheet Metal, Bozeman

Job Description

Central is hiring a General Superintendent to oversee all field and shop operations for the Sheet Metal Department in the Bozeman region. This role will be responsible for ensuring quality installations, workforce efficiency, and compliance with safety and project standards. The General Superintendent serves as a key link between field crews, apprentices, project managers, and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct regular site visits; review scope, plans, and installation practices

• Coordinate manpower, equipment deliveries, and material logistics

• Monitor job progress, budgets, and scheduling with foremen

• Support layout, duct measurements, and hands-on assistance when needed

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure PPE and documentation compliance

• Manage tool and equipment use, storage, and returns

• Track material purchases and promote bulk buying strategies

• Mentor crews, resolve personnel issues, and support recruitment and training

• Participate in preconstruction meetings and provide input on design and prefab

• Collaborate with PMs on takeoffs, RFIs, submittals, and field feedback

• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications

• Administer company policies and monitor apprentice program compliance

• Participate in Apprenticeship training and education

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Montana driver’s license
• Journeyman Sheetmetal status
• 10+ years in commercial mechanical industry
• 3+ years in supervisory roles
