Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide effective and nurturing teacher-child interactions, plan and implement learning experiences that ensure effective curriculum implementation and use of assessment, and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five and applicable state early learning and development standards, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners. Supervise teachers and support staff as assigned, and coordinate center/classroom including daily scheduling, supplies, paperwork, and parent communications.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Promote school readiness for children, families, and community members
  2. Supervise staff and monitor children
  3. Develop and utilize lesson plans according to the guidance
  4. Works with families to identify goals, strengths, and needs and supports them in the process
  5. Complete two parent/teacher conferences in the center
  6. Document child/family recruitment efforts
  7. Collect and submit the requested data
  8. Adhere to all CNCAP-related policies and procedures
  9. Promote the program and agency in a positive and professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood
  2. Valid driver's license
  3. 3-5 years of experience working in Early Childhood

SCHEDULE: Monday-Thursday: 7 am - 5 pm

REPORTS TO: Area Manager/Education Coordinator/Coach

JOB STATUS: Full-Time

PAY: $22.90 - $24.00/hour (depending on qualifications)
