About the Role
As a member of the housekeeping/ Laundry team, you will support the daily routines that make our community a comfortable place to live. This is meaningful, hands-on work that blends cleaning tasks with warm, patient interactions. Because our residents are living with memory-related conditions, a kind presence and a steady, reassuring manner matter just as much as a job well done.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and shared spaces following established schedules and safety standards.
- Perform all housekeeping/ Laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, towels, and personal clothing with care.
- Sort and label resident garments correctly so that personal items return to the right individuals.
- Restock supplies, empty trash, and manage waste according to infection-control guidelines.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or changes in a resident's condition to the appropriate staff.
- Follow proper handling procedures for cleaning agents and laundry chemicals.
- Contribute to a tidy, organized housekeeping/ Laundry area and maintain accurate task records.
- Interact respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers, offering a friendly word and a helping hand.
What We Look For
We welcome dependable, compassionate individuals who take pride in thorough work. Prior experience in a housekeeping/ Laundry role within a senior living, hospitality, or healthcare setting is helpful but not required, since we value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and written or verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and the flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including some weekends or holidays as needed.
- Physical capacity to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push laundry and cleaning carts throughout a shift.
- Patience, warmth, and comfort working near residents who live with memory loss.
- A team-minded attitude and respect for resident privacy and dignity.
