Compensation

$28-$35/hour based on experience
Additional earning opportunities include:

Work Schedule

Our HVAC Service technicians arrive at our shop near Downtown Des Moines at 8:00AM. Typical workday ends around 4:00–5:00 PM depending on service demand.

As any HVAC technician knows, work is seasonal and we do all we can to keep a work-life balance for all employees during peak seasons, and find additional projects to complete during our slower shoulder seasons.

Overtime opportunities may include evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.

On-Call Rotation

Service technicians participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule.

During your on-call week:

• Phone forwarded from 5 PM – 8 AM
• Emergency repairs only
• No estimates or scheduling required after hours

Skills/Requirements

•Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician

•Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC systems

•Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating

•Excellent customer service and communication skills

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in residential HVAC systems

• Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems

• Repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment

• Communicate clearly with customers about system performance and repairs

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards

• Participate in ongoing technical training

•Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements

•Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short notice

•Ability to work in confined spaces

Other Qualifications

•Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record for insurance purposes
•Vocational, training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program
