This is a temporary position with no paid benefits.

All internships are paid full-time summer of 2026 positions.

Summary of Work
This internship will provide quality experience regarding automotive and/or diesel maintenance and repair of NDDOT Fleet, Equipment and/or Heavy Equipment. The intern will learn to develop their communication, documentation and customer service skills, while gaining experience to interpret service information, diagnose issues and service/repair NDDOT equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program in automotive and/or diesel mechanic or similar degree.

• Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.

• Possession of a valid Class D Drivers License for travel within the state of North Dakota.

Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and successful completion of a job function screening.
