Journeyman Electrician — Excel Electric
Excel Electric has been serving Northern Colorado since 1969 — over 55 years as a licensed electrical contractor on the Front Range. We handle residential custom home builds, commercial construction, and a rapidly growing service division. We're not a revolving door. Many on our team has been here 20+ years and we're building the next generation of that crew right now.
We're expanding fast — scaling our service department, adding crews to custom home builds, and creating real leadership opportunity for the right people. If you want to grow into a foreman or lead tech role, this is the place to do it.We're hiring Journeyman Electricians for two tracks — pick your lane or work both:
SERVICE DIVISION (Scaling Now)
Residential and light commercial service calls
Troubleshooting, panel work, upgrades, EV charger installs
Running your own van and managing your own schedule
Take payments with software
CONSTRUCTION DIVISION (Custom Homes & Commercial)
Rough-ins, trim, and device installation on high-end custom homes
Commercial construction — core and shell, finish work, lighting
Reading and working from blueprints and electrical plans
Leading small crews and working alongside apprentices
Coordinating with GCs and passing inspections independently
What We are looking for
Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician license (or reciprocal state license)
3+ years field experience in residential, commercial, or service work
Can run a job or service call without hand-holding
Works clean, passes inspection, takes pride in the craft
Shows up on time, communicates, and acts like a professional
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Experience training or working alongside apprentices a plus C
Compensation
$37–$40 per hour depending on experience
