Manager, Post Anesthesia Care Unit/PACU

Job Description

• Administrates the day to day operation of the following departments:

• Serves as a role model for professional nursing practice
• Maintains 24-hour a day line management and responsibility in administration of personnel, fiscal, and material resources
• Utilizes the hospital mission to implement system changes in health care delivery that maintain quality patient care and fiscal integrity
• Creatively responds to changes in the work setting
• Participates in program planning for new projects
• Knowledgeable in clinical areas of supervision, using defined processes to establish goals and outcomes which reflect systems integration in today’s dynamic health care environment.

• Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification required within orientation period.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment in position.
• TNCC preferred.
• Specialty certification in area of practice is desirable.

• RN program as evidenced by licensure.
• Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where Degree was received.

• Minimum of 3 years of successful nursing practice, which have included a supervisory/leadership role.
• Previous PACU experience preferred.

• Must have effective communication skills.
