Encompass Family Support Services is adding to our TEAM – we are hiring an Outreach & Early Childhood Developmental Screenings Coordinator
Position Summary
The Outreach & Early Childhood Developmental Screenings Coordinator is responsible for coordinating community outreach activities, conducting or overseeing early childhood developmental screenings, and supporting timely referral to Early Intervention services. This role ensures that outreach and screening activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and evidence-based screening protocols.
This position serves as a bridge between the community and the Early Intervention program, supporting early identification of developmental concerns and facilitating access to appropriate services. The Coordinator also holds primary responsibility for the development, management, and maintenance of approved public-facing communication—including social media content for all Encompass programming and messaging—related to outreach, developmental screenings, and Early Intervention awareness. All public-facing content must align with organizational standards, confidentiality requirements, and established approval processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Outreach & Community Engagement
Develops and coordinates outreach activities to promote early childhood developmental screening and awareness
Establishes and maintains relationships with community partners, childcare providers, healthcare entities, and referral sources
Represents the organization at community events and outreach initiatives
Developmental Screening Coordination & Oversight
Conducts or oversees developmental screenings using approved tools and protocols
Ensures screenings are completed accurately, respectfully, and within required timelines
Maintains screening records and ensures appropriate follow-up and referral processes
Referral & Intake Coordination
Coordinates referrals resulting from developmental screenings
Ensures families receive accurate information about Early Intervention services and next steps
Collaborates with the Director of Early Intervention to support timely intake and eligibility processes
Documentation, Data & Compliance
Maintains documentation related to outreach activities, screenings, referrals, and public-facing initiatives
Ensures records meet organizational, regulatory, and licensing standards
Supports reporting requirements related to screening, outreach, and community engagement activities
Marketing, Outreach Messaging & Social Media Management
Develops, schedules, and maintains social media content to promote developmental screenings, Early Intervention services, community events, and outreach initiatives
Ensures all social media and public-facing content is accurate, family-friendly, ethical, and aligned with organizational values
Coordinates messaging across platforms to ensure consistency and clarity
Ensures all public-facing communication complies with confidentiality, consent, and privacy requirements
Collaborates with leadership to obtain approval for content as required by organizational policy
Monitors engagement and effectiveness of social media and outreach messaging to inform future outreach strategies
Training & Professional Practice
Completes required orientation and ongoing training related to screening tools, outreach practices, social media standards, and compliance
Reinforces confidentiality, consent, and ethical standards in all outreach, screening, and public communication activities
Seeks supervision and guidance when screening, referral, or public communication concerns arise
Continuous Quality Improvement
Monitors outreach effectiveness, screening outcomes, and community engagement trends
Identifies opportunities to improve access, engagement, screening processes, and public awareness
Participates in quality improvement initiatives and internal reviews
Authority & Decision-Making
The Outreach & Early Childhood Developmental Screenings Coordinator has the authority to:
Coordinate outreach activities and screening schedules
Conduct screenings within approved scope and protocols
Develop and manage approved social media and outreach content within organizational guidelines
Recommend outreach, screening, or communication process improvements
Escalate compliance, safety, referral, or public communication concerns to the Director of Early Intervention
Required Qualifications
Experience in early childhood services, outreach, screening, or related human services
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with developmental screening tools and Early Intervention systems
Familiarity with IDEA Part C referral pathways
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Social Work, or Speech, Occupational, or Physical Therapy, with minor in Communications
Parent of a child who has received ND Early Intervention Services
Job Type:
Salary: From $25.00-$35.00 per hour D.O.E.

Core hours: 9am-3pm Monday - Friday
Work Location:
In person in either our Fargo location or our Valley City Location
- Possibility to occasionally work remotely after one year of enployment
