Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate, timely accounting records. This role supports billing, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting while maintaining strong vendor and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor bills and manage accounts receivable
- Handle credit, collections, daily invoicing, and monthly customer statements
- Prepare and file Michigan sales tax and monthly/annual sales & use tax returns
- Complete yearly vendor 1099s and maintain W-9s and certificates of insurance
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Process weekly payroll and estimated tax payments
- Manage inventory adjustments and insurance liability documentation
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure proper record retention
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Experience with payroll processing and sales/use tax reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
