Patient Access Representative

Windom Area Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team in Windom, MN. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth registration process.
Location: Windom, MN *not a remote position
Pay Range: $19.96 - $24.77 per hour *Rates offered will reflect applicable experience.
Full Time: Weekday hours

Windom Area Hospital is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our team. This full-time position (1.0 FTE) plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients. Primary responsibilities include patient registration, electronic data entry, answering and directing incoming phone calls, and welcoming and assisting patients and visitors. Applicants must have a high school diploma. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is required, or an equivalent qualification through a medical-related degree. This role is primarily scheduled during weekday hours but may occasionally include evening or weekend shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records systems
