$17-$25 Based on Experience. (2nd shift has $1.00 differential)
1st shift: Monday- Thursday 6:00am- 3:30pm, Friday 6:00am- 10:00am
2nd shift: Monday- Thursday 3:30 pm- 2:00 am

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITY: None
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Welder is responsible for welding parts to conform to customer orders, specific design and quality.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (includes essential job functions):
· Performs complex welds that meet and exceed customer expectations.
· Follows instruction and direction of supervisor and/or lead.
· Maintains safe and orderly work area.
· Proficiently reads and follows blue print directions and asks questions when uncertain.
· Set and adjust welding equipment to comply with customer specifications and weld procedures.
· Creates weldments using both simple and complex jigs and fixtures.
· Assists in set up and the staging of components to provide maximum production efficiencies.
· Accurately documents production information as required.
· Follows all policies and procedures to provide for the highest level of safety and productivity.
· Maintains all departmental equipment to ensure maximum production efficiency.
· Safely and efficiently performs other tasks as required or assigned.
· Follow or maintain maintenance per schedule. Report to supervisor.
· Reports all tool malfunctions to supervisor or lead.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
· Must be able to work in a fast paced and detail oriented production/manufacturing environment
· Advanced welding skills and experience
· Must have good forklift skills
· Strong math and metric conversion skills
· Proficiency in blue print reading and weld symbol recognition
· Good interplant customer services skills a must
· Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
· Must be proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting measuring tools and devices
· Must have good oral and written communication skills.
· Must be self-motivated.
JOB SKILLS TRAINING/EVALUATION REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 3 years welding in a production environment preferred
· Applicant must pass an on-site welding test
· AWS D1.3 welding certification helpful but not required
· MIG Welding experience required
· Flux Core Welding preferred
· TIG Welding helpful
· Using Measuring Tools required
· Blueprint Reading required
· Welding Symbols knowledge required
· Using Setup Sheets
· Scanning Work Orders
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to stand in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
· May be required to climb ladders or work in overhead.
· Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
· Must be able to pull and/or push up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
· May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach
