Job Description

Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to successfully launch and manage automotive programs from award through production. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all customer, quality, and operational requirements. The Program Manager serves as the primary customer contact and drives alignment between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end program management for injection molded automotive components, from RFQ through production launch and post-launch support

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring clear communication of expectations, timelines, and deliverables

  • Develop and maintain detailed program timelines, budgets, and risk assessments

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, tooling, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain

  • Drive APQP processes including PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and launch readiness activities

  • Monitor program milestones and KPIs, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions

  • Manage tooling development, validation, and production readiness for injection molding processes

  • Oversee change management processes including engineering changes and cost impacts

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, IATF 16949 standards, and internal quality systems

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of program management experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably in injection molding

  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949)

  • Experience with injection molding processes, tooling, and plastic component manufacturing

  • Proven ability to manage multiple programs in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification or equivalent

  • Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 automotive customers

  • Background in tooling launch, mold validation, or plastic part design

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
