Position Overview
Providence House is seeking a dependable and self-directed Overnight Program Support Aide to maintain safety, structure, and compliance during overnight operations within a residential substance use treatment facility serving women.
The Overnight Program Support Aide is the primary on-site authority during non-business hours. This role requires independent judgment, strong documentation skills, and consistent enforcement of facility policies.
This is not a passive or observational position. It requires alertness, accountability, and the ability to act decisively when issues arise.
Primary Responsibilities
Safety and Accountability
• Conduct structured safety rounds and room checks
• Monitor resident compliance with program rules
• Perform urinalysis, breathalyzer testing, and searches as required
• Observe and document medication administration per policy
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or safety concerns
Documentation and Compliance
• Complete detailed shift documentation in the EMR
• Document incidents, observations, and behavioral changes
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2
• Ensure adherence to facility policies and licensing standards
Facility Oversight
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and structured environment overnight
• Prepare clear shift handoff notes for day staff
• Escalate concerns to leadership as required
Qualifications
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong written documentation skills
• Emotional maturity and comfort enforcing rules
• Ability to remain alert and focused during overnight hours
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Experience
• Experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, corrections, healthcare, or other structured environments
• Experience working overnight or in independent roles
