Job Description

Scott’s Electric is looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team in Wahpeton, ND. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality electrical projects from bid to completion while working closely with our team, clients, and subcontractors.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan for and prepare estimates for electrical construction work
  • Direct resources and coordinates activities involved with electrical construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with project owners and design teams
  • Develop project estimate budgets
  • Collaborate with vendors and others within the trade to execute subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Calculation of change proposals
  • Reviews and approves product shop drawings
  • Coordinates labor, material and equipment needs for projects
  • Verifies work is completed as estimated and conforms to project specifications
  • Communicate with owners, contractors, and design team to resolve work procedure, construction, and complaint issues
  • Determine labor requirements for productive project progress

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in an approved electrical course study
  • Minimum 8 years electrical field experience
  • Journeyman or Master Electrical license in ND or MN

Skills and Abilities

  • Computer knowledge using Microsoft Office, Procore and estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, etc.)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to change within the workplace
  • Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and always maintain a professional demeanor
  • Quality written, verbal and communication skills
