Multifamily Property Manager

About the Role
Are you ready to lead and grow in a dynamic multifamily property management environment? We are seeking a Multifamily Property Manager to oversee daily operations, leasing, resident relations, financial performance, and team development for our apartment communities. This role blends hands-on property oversight with leadership and mentorship, ensuring our communities run efficiently and residents receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support leasing, maintenance, and office staff; provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee leasing, advertising, and marketing efforts for residential and commercial spaces.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and safety standards.
- Conduct daily property inspections, manage vacant units, and maintain curb appeal.
- Process and approve rental applications, lease agreements, move-ins, and move-outs.
- Collect rent, manage delinquent accounts, and oversee the eviction process as needed.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets; monitor fiscal performance and capital improvements.
- Maintain accurate financial records, process payables, and ensure timely bank deposits.
- Solicit and review vendor bids, manage contracts, and oversee service agreements.
- Foster positive resident relationships and lead retention and renewal initiatives.
- Respond promptly to resident inquiries, emergencies, and maintenance requests.
- Maintain up-to-date records in CRM and property management software (AppFolio or similar).
- Ensure all staff are current on required training and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing or supervising a multifamily apartment community.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AppFolio Software.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform property inspections.
- Comfortable working in an office and on-site at properties.
