Job Description

Kevin's Plumbing & Heating is searching for qualified Dispatcher applicants in Minot, ND.

As the first point of contact for Kevin's, your duties will include answering phones, assisting clients, scheduling and dispatching all service calls to ensure maximum scheduling efficiency without compromising client satisfaction, deal directly with field technicians to ensure clients are serviced, and manages the dispatch board to keep field personnel on the move, daily, weekly, & monthly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming telephone calls, emails, text messages, and other sources of communication
  • Makes every effort to compress call scheduling effectively maximizing productivity
  • Notifies clients ahead of time without fail if the technician is not going to arrive at their home or business within the scheduled time window
  • Re-schedules appointment times at client’s convenience as necessary
  • Makes every effort to ensure technicians can stay on the job
  • Ensures the "Right" technician is sent to the “Right” appointment, the Dispatcher must be familiar with the technical competencies of each field technician and understand how to best maximize service and revenues for each call
  • Shares responsibility to ensure that all technicians arrive at their designated appointments on time
  • Uses excellent customer service skills when dealing with clients
  • Gets all necessary details when scheduling service appointments for clients
  • Utilizes all necessary computer programs to make sure job is done in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Completes all assigned tasks in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Additional duties required as needed

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Person needs to live in the Minot area
  • Typing Speed of 45wpm+ with no errors
  • Excellent Command of the English Language
  • Geographical knowledge of the service area and/or map reading skills
  • Above average written, verbal communication, and organizational skills are essential
  • Excellent telephone skills required
  • Must be proficient at multitasking
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other computer applications/software
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • 2-4 years of related office experience
  • Previous plumbing & HVAC experience and/or knowledge preferred
  • Excellent Attendance Record
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and may be exposed to verbal confrontations

**This is an extremely fast paced, ever changing environment, with multiple avenues of constant communication. Dispatching requires accurate and rapid execution of multiple computer and web-based applications over multiple computer monitors**

Job Type: Office Environment - Full-Time position (7:30am- 5:15pm)

Pay: $20.00+ per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday to Friday appx 42 hours per week
