Position Purpose
Provides leadership and training expertise for activities of Direct Support Professional's development in keeping with the overall goals and objectives of Fraser, Ltd. to ensure effective and efficient staff training.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Training
- Become a Regional Staff Trainer per the requirements for the State of ND
- Location-specific needs (Identify and Create Materials)
- Attend Staff Meetings as necessary to train
- Observations to assess staff training needs.
- Conduct bi-weekly orientation
- Track and report training for both the agency and the state.
- Attend quarterly regional trainer staff meetings.
- Become a CPR/FA and Therapeutic Response trainer.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in developmental disabilities, education, or similar field of study.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
The ability to organize and implement daily work plans effectively is important, as well as the ability to plan and implement long-range goals.
Working knowledge and understanding of all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to rehabilitation facilities is necessary.
