Description
Cardiac monitor technicians monitor/interpret the heart rhythm and patterns of patients throughout the hospital to detect abnormal pattern variations. Cardiac monitor technicians observe the cardiac monitor screen and listen for an alarm to identify any abnormalities. Cardiac monitor technicians will notify Nurses and Physicians when medical attention is needed.

Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Must have a current CNA, EMT-B, Paramedic, or other healthcare professional license. BLS certification is required within the orientation period.
Educational Requirements:
High School education or equivalent preferred.
Experience Requirements:
A medical background/terminology is preferred. Stronger preference is given to applicants with rhythm experience (e.g., EMT-B, paramedic, etc.).
Special Skills or Training Requirements:
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and work in a team atmosphere. Computer and keyboarding skills.
