Position – Teller Supervisor
Location – Lincoln
General Summary
Serve our membership and the credit union by leading the Teller staff. Responsible for staffing/scheduling plans, performance management, and training and development of assigned Teller staff. Serve our membership by providing and promoting prudent financial activities and being sensitive to all of the members’ financial needs, by creating an awareness of all credit union services to new and current members.
Job Duties
Perform daily supervision and evaluation of assigned Teller staff.
Performance Management
Coach, mentor and motivate staff, including monthly coaching conversations.
Identify and address performance concerns in a timely manner.
Prepare and deliver performance evaluations in a timely manner.
Staffing/Scheduling
Responsible for assigned Teller staffing in terms of staff schedules and work rotations for every day LFCU is open to membership, including Saturday work rotations.
Review/approve time off requests.
Be the point of contact for unscheduled absences, report absences to management and work together regarding time off situations which arise.
Review/approve teller timecards for payroll purposes.
Training and Development
Work directly with the Branch Operations Supervisor and Training Department for all training needs of new Tellers, ensuring a smooth transition and onboarding process.
Evaluate Teller development checklists, progress within the development program, enhancements, recommendations, observations, and training to ensure LFCU Tellers perform at the highest level possible.
Leadership
Provide consistent feedback and recommendations to management on policies, procedures, and training materials.
Be a champion of; and fully represent LFCU Core Values and Service Expectations in all areas of performance.
Manage and facilitate conflict resolution between assigned staff and assist staff with member conflict/escalation.
Operations
Work closely with Tellers and Branch Manager to ensure efficient and accurate member services.
Make override decisions and other escalated/approval decisions as allowed and assigned.
Ensure LFCU policies and procedures are followed.
Monitor Teller operations in the branch and assign tasks outside of typical Teller duties as needed.
As needed, perform teller functions and all member service duties including open new memberships, open/close CDs, transaction disputes, and variety of transactions within applicable access limits and authority.
Credit Union Duties
Actively support our sales and service culture and demonstrate these skills by communicating to members the benefits and features of all our products and services.
Actively support our service expectations, core values and Liberty First promise.
Effectively identify and act on referrals and cross selling opportunities.
Resolve members' requests/problems/complaints and/or direct them to the proper department for solutions.
Complete in-house training based on required classes set up for this position.
Assist in any area as directed by management.
Job Requirements
Experience - Teller experience required. Knowledge and experience of all Credit Union products and services is strongly preferred. Leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge – Advanced knowledge of Teller operations in a financial institution is required. Intermediate mathematical skill required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
Education - High school diploma required. College education in a financial or business-related discipline preferred.
Interpersonal - Must demonstrate professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members with a positive attitude and image as a representative for the Credit Union.
Must have demonstrate excellent decision making and judgment.
Work requires lifting and carrying up to 55 pounds when moving cash drawers or coin bags. Team lift is available.
Work Hours
Full-time. 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday - 8 hour shift with 1 hour unpaid lunch
Shifts start as early as 7:45 am and end as late as 6:15 pm. Saturday morning rotation required, 8:45 am - 12:15 pm
Wage
$20.00-25.00/hr per hour depending on experience.
This position is eligible for a wage increase annually as part of a merit performance review
Eligible for incentives paid monthly
Eligible for a discretionary gain-share plan payment annually

Retirement
LFCU matches 100% up to 3% plus 50% up to 5% of associate’s 401(k) contributions for a total of 4%.
LFCU contributes 5% of associate earnings to Profit Sharing.
Gain Share Plan
Reviewed for approval by the Board annually, this discretionary plan rewards associates when the credit union achieves above average performance. Associates are also rewarded based on their level of performance and contributions to the success of the credit union.
Paid Leave – Full-time
Vacation– 2 weeks/year for new hires
Sick – 2 weeks/year for new hires
Personal Day – 2 days earned after one year
Holiday Pay – 6 paid holidays/year plus 5 additional federal holidays per year are reserved for all-staff meetings. For one 1 of the 5, staff are required to attend an all-staff meeting, and the remaining 4 may be provided as holiday pay based on LFCU's discretion.
