FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY - Water/Wastewater Operator

Detroit Lakes Public Utility is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operator. You will perform skilled operation and maintenance work involving the water and wastewater operations of a Class A MBR Water Reclamation Facility, a iron removal water treatment plant, as well as lift stations and collection system for the City of Detroit Lakes.

Education and Experience Requirements: Associate degree in environmental science or equivalent and four years’ experience maintaining water and wastewater facilities. Vocational technical training in water and wastewater systems may substitute for the required experience. Municipal experience is preferred.

License Requirements:

  • Minnesota Class C Wastewater License.

  • Minnesota Class C Water License

  • Valid Class B CDL License with tanker endorsement.

  • Or class D water and wastewater license with ability to obtain class C within 1year.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting Pay Range: $32.38-$35.89 (based on experience)
